Error 11004 - DNS issue

If you get the 11004 error code when trying to connect to your stream in SAM, it means that the software is unable to resolve the hostname from the encoder's IP address field to a valid IP address.

A general DNS error for the server will be unlikely, so normally this would be due to DNS issues at your ISP/network or in your computer's setup. If you haven't changed your computer's network setup yourself, or know of any other recent LAN/network changes, the issue is most likely of a temporary manner.

You can use the IP address directly, both in the SAM encoder setup up and in the Music URL. Go to our server status page to find the IP address for your streaming server and substitute the hostname with the IP address in setup info and URLs.
